Would it be possible to create Work Order Categories and have these control the Custom group fields or custom forms that could be associated with a certain category?
It could also facilitate the report function since you could sort Work Orders by the type of job that needed to be completed.

Work Order Categories is an existing functionality on ServiceBridge. You can manage it via Job Settings -> Job Categories defining a list of preferred work order categories. Then the specified categories are visible in the work orders list and in the work order details.
