Hi. I'm from the product management team which is looking into this feature.
To help us focus on what's most important, I'm curious to understand your main goals for this feature. Is it primarily to track consumption and keep inventory levels up to date?
Do you also want plan work based on the inventory levels at locations such as the technician's van?
Any other insights or pain points would be very helpful to us. Thanks!

Enda Hennigan: Hello! We would like to be able to do the following:
#1 - track inventory quantities for multiple inventory locations
#2 - run reports that correlate inventory items on estimates and work orders as "unavailable inventory" and trigger re-order reports for POs based on min/max levels
#3 - place POs
#4 - update item costs automatically based on PO/Item Receipts
#5 - update item prices automatically based on a set margin, which is specific to the item itself
#6 - create transfers between inventory locations
#7 - have multiple vendors for one internal Part Number
#8 - ability to return to vendor (RMA), which creates a credit in QBO
#9 - Create bundles, but have them appear on the WO and Invoice as a single line item
Thank you!

Hello - we have been working in SB for over 5-years and have managed to limp along with SB integrating to QBO, which then integrates with another inventory system called, SOS. It is not ideal. As our company is growing, and we are unable to tie work orders into our inventory process, it is proving to be more and more difficult (and very labor intensive) to sync across several different platforms. I am asking (no begging) for SB to develop an inventory module, which allows us to connect the products we offer to the inventory tracking for multiple inventory locations. We hate to think about moving away from this software, but the time may have come. I look forward to your response.

Bill Cronin: hello! How can we receive updates on the progress of the development of inventory into the GPS Insight software system?

Hi Jenneth Fleckenstein. Inventory Management is something we're looking to build out this year. We are looking at different methods of integration, but will likely start with QBO and then look at add Inventory to our API, Reports, and Zapier integration.

How do you currently manage and track your inventory?

We don't have a system in place yet but need one.

ServiceBridge tracks products and services. If you integrate SB with QBO then you might be able to do basic weekly inventory reports. Here's QBO's inventory solution: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/tutorials/lessons/inventory/

I went over this with Sabrina and it didn't work. Quickbooks I would prefer my employees not to be on.

Ok, makes sense, though you can enable different user types and permissions in QBO so that your employees only see what they are allowed to see. I'm not sure how granular the roles and permissions are though. You would have to explore those settings: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Account-management/Understanding-user-types-and-permissions/td-p/186238
With respect to ServiceBridge, we don't have plans to add inventory management anytime soon.
