Edit custom forms from the web

It's becoming more necessary as time goes by to have the ability to modify the service report prepared in the field by technicians. It's very time consuming when detecting errors, to try to get hold of the technicians to make the corrections, with the subsequent delay of the work. This feature will allow the Owner or Project manager to correct the error and proceed with the work with no delays.

Edit Custom Form Data on the Web

Currently we are forced to go to the phone app and edit service reports. The problem here is that we service the whole state of AZ and have technicians that are not close to us for us to get to their phones to edit a report on their phones.
We need to be able to pull up the service report on the desktop site and edit it.
A lot of our customers wont pay us without a correct service report. The office NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO FIX ANY ERRORS so that we can get paid on time.

This is a significant amount of work to implement this feature. We hope to get to this but it likely won't come for a long time. Please reach out to the support team on how you can setup a device in the home office to be able to edit the reports without having to contact the technician.

After further review, it seems that it is not possible to edit custom forms on different devices. They must be edited from the same device they have been created on. We will look into get this improved. ref: SB-10063

It seems that custom forms are not the appropriate mechanism for service reports based on the limitations of a custom form. ServiceBridge needs to have a feature similar to estimates, invoices, etc. for Service Reports that is not based on custom forms.

We really need to come up with a solution for this! I agree with Jeff - maybe custom forms isn't the way to go. Service Bridge needs to find a solution on this ASAP - we can't operate like this.

Accurate documentation is a key part of customer service and potential liability management for any service business. It is mission critical for any service business related to life safety.
Knocking down roadblocks (such as the one described here) that impede or slow down the mission-critical function of delivering accurate documentation must be a top priority to resolve.

The ability to edit custom forms on the web is something we've added to our backlog and are considering how to add this capability to our platform. We will keep you posted on this as we get closer to releasing it.
