When they are approving the estimate online, they should be given the option of saving the credit card on file. We need a card on file for certain services, like recurring cleanings. Also a lot of customers assume we have their card on file from when they paid the deposit and do not pay on time because of this.

Also, When I asked Service Bridge they said it was a security thing, which in my opinion doesn't really matter because when we save it, it is now in the system regardless of who saved it.
I explained this to them and that is an option for the customer, they do not have to save it, but I think many would. As I said I get a lot of customers who do not pay right away because they think we have the card saved automatically.

The new CC links for customers to pay is awesome, but what went away was the office's ability (when taking deposit manually) to save the card to charge after the job is done ... now I'm back to being a collection agency!

Weve said this for awhile...not every client wants to, or has time to call in to leave a card on file.
We require it, as we hate chasing money owed to us....

jesse fraser agreed, as I mentioned many customers assume the card is saved at the time they paid a deposit and that I charged it already when the work has been competed.
They should really know if a charge has happened but a lot do not pay attention and are so surprised when I am sending them past due invoices lol

We don't send estimates this way, but we do save credit cards. Could you take them over the phone?

Brittany Catanzaro Yes, We can take credit card info over the phone, but now we have implemented that they are able to approve online therefore they will just leave a deposit, then we need to call them anyway to have the card info saved. Recurring cleanings were always NO DEPOSIT required but to have a card on file to charge when the cleaning is complete. Would be very helpful if the customer had the option to save the card on file.
